URBANA is a Civil Non-Profit Partnership founded in 2019 in Athens, Greece, composed of architects, urban planners, social scientists, and educators. Our mission is to guarantee the right to the city for all, using contemporary methods and interdisciplinary approaches that emphasize gender perspective, inclusion, and participation in urban space (re)design. We aim to create an inclusive environment where people from diverse backgrounds have equal opportunities to express their needs and desires in the urban context. Our work promotes socially sustainable urban development by bridging bottom-up and top-down planning processes and fostering collaboration between communities and local authorities. Through research, co-creation workshops, educational programs, and participatory urban analysis, URBANA advocates for inclusive, safe, and equitable public spaces. With a strong network of European partners, we aim to influence urban planning and policy with a focus on justice, care, and participation.
