SocialTech Lab is a peace innovation NGO based in Nicosia, Cyprus—Europe’s last divided capital. For 9 years, it has empowered youth in conflict-affected regions through technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, fostering social impact, economic resilience, and intercommunal cooperation. Operating from the buffer zone, SocialTech Lab supports youth aged 18–35 facing unemployment or limited opportunities, helping them launch startups and develop professional skills in sectors such as urban mobility, circular economy, digital innovation, creative industries, and social enterprises. Its Social Impact Generator model combines six pillars—Research, Capacity Building, Policy, Digital Tools, Live Programs, and Physical Spaces—to create inclusive innovation ecosystems tailored to local needs. Key initiatives include the Youth Innovation Factory with UNDP, the NEB Ignite + Grow programme, and the Urban Innovators Academy. Its physical hub, the Social Impact Generator (The Base by CyprusInno), incubates startups. Since its inception, SocialTech Lab has supported over hundreds of impact startups, thousands of participants, and has distributed funding, free resources, mentorship, and more.
