Modern Timber Construction

This course introduces the fundamentals of modern timber construction, including key timber building systems, their advantages and limitations, and the specific characteristics of wood as a building material.

Participants gain insight into sustainability criteria such as life cycle assessment (LCA) and circularity, and how these can be addressed in timber projects. The course also covers planning to minimize risks related to fire, moisture, and acoustics in large-scale timber construction.
