This training program was developed in response to the urgent needs of Ukrainian migrants living in the Czech Republic. The majority of them are women with young children who face specific barriers to employment, including limited knowledge of the Czech language, challenges in balancing childcare responsibilities, and growing competition among Ukrainian workers. The project aimed to empower 20 Ukrainian migrants through a structured learning and mentoring program, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to establish their own social enterprises. Over the course of eight interactive workshops and a one-month consultation period with professional advisers, participants learned how to transform their ideas into viable, sustainable, and socially responsible business models. Participants had developed draft business plans, enhanced their financial and marketing literacy, and gained the confidence to present and refine their entrepreneurial ideas. The project demonstrated that entrepreneurship can be an effective instrument for integration and empowerment, enabling migrants to shift from job seekers to job creators while contributing positively to both the economy and society.

The training lecture slides and methodology sheets from the course are available for download in Czech, Ukrainian and English. They contain information on types of business models, business plans, market research and sales pitch.
